She was awarded second place in the national costume competition for her "Cuu Long An Van" design, which she showcased on 16/11. The top honor in this category went to the contestant from Ghana.
During her two weeks at the competition, Kieu Duy engaged in numerous cultural exchange activities and preliminary rounds. In a video interview exceeding three minutes, published by the organizers on 25/11, Kieu Duy answered questions in English. This initiative aims to provide residents with essential medication and emergency first aid support. She developed this project based on the third of the United Nations' 17 sustainable development goals. To date, she has donated many over-the-counter medicine cabinets and medical supplies to communities in Tay Ninh and Dien Bien.
During the interview, Kieu Duy also highlighted Vietnam's vibrant cuisine, picturesque landscapes, and the inherent friendliness of its people, which are key attractions for international tourists. She spoke emotionally about her mother when asked, "If you could switch places with someone for a day, who would it be?". She shared that she often receives messages like "mom misses you" or "what are you doing?". Kieu Duy admitted that there were times she hadn't fully understood her parents' affection and wished to embody her mother to grasp it more deeply.
