The Head Chef Beauty competition, a new segment of Miss World, premiered on 17/8. Organizers introduced the challenge to offer contestants a unique platform to demonstrate their culinary talents and passion for food, distinguishing it from traditional beauty pageant events.
A representative from the judging panel highlighted that while taste and presentation were considered, teamwork played a crucial role in scoring.

Contestants were divided into 10 teams for a preliminary round. Each team created a healthy menu using provided ingredients and presented their concept to the judges. The two top teams then advanced to a second challenge to determine the winner.

Team two, consisting of contestants from Vietnam, Portugal, Wales, Trinidad & Tobago, Croatia, Kenya, Bolivia, Mauritius, Sierra Leone, and Gibraltar, was announced as the winner.

Miss Bao Ngoc presented her team's culinary concepts and cooking methods. She expressed delight at achieving their first victory after over one week of competition on home ground. Bao Ngoc mentioned she approached the challenge with confidence, as she has regularly cooked during her years of independent living in TP HCM.

In the upcoming days, contestants will proceed with various sub-competitions, including Talent Audition, Top Model, Sport Challenge, Head to Head, and Dances of the World.
The competition, running from 8/8 to 5/9, spans three provinces: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, and Khanh Hoa. On 12/8, 111 contestants, dressed in ao dai, attended the opening ceremony in a Ha Long City square. In Do Son, participants engaged in mangrove planting, crabbing, fishing, and kayaking. Reigning Miss World Opal Suchata of Thailand will crown her successor at the final on 5/9 in Nha Trang City.
Established in 1951, Miss World stands as one of the two oldest and most prominent global beauty pageants, alongside Miss Universe. The event promotes global solidarity by identifying young women who possess beauty, academic achievement, and impactful community projects. For decades, Miss World has championed the "Beauty with a Purpose" ethos.
