Actress Ly Huong and her 25-year-old daughter, Jessica Ly, showcase a spring ao dai collection by designer Vo Viet Chung.

The 1990s action star shot this ao dai collection to celebrate International women's day on march 8, coinciding with her daughter's return from the US for Tet. The collection, named Huong Xuan, features floral and bird motifs on monochrome silk fabric.

Jessica Ly wears a white design with orange and light red patterns, a color palette suggesting elegance and youthfulness.

Ly Huong's daughter has lived in the US since childhood, so every Tet, she hopes her daughter returns to Vietnam to meet relatives.

Many of Ly Huong's colleagues praise Jessica Ly for inheriting her mother's beauty. She favors sharp makeup, bold eyeliner, full lips, and maintains a balanced physique through consistent exercise since childhood.

The beauty wears a high-necked, traditional ao dai. A business administration graduate from California, she also studied beauty and makeup.

Ly Huong's brother, actor Ly Hung, once advised her to support her daughter in pursuing an acting career, seeing her potential. However, Ly Huong stated she is not rushing, instead advising Jessica to take additional film training courses to grasp basic knowledge. "I support all of Jessica's decisions; what's important is that she is happy and confident with the path she has chosen," she said.

Ly Huong wears a contemporary ao dai design with subtle embossed patterns. At the age of 49, the actress acts less frequently, occasionally participating in fashion shows for close designer friends.

Ly Huong was born into a family with a rich artistic tradition; her father was director Ly Huynh, a veteran figure of the 1970s and 1980s. After actor Ly Hung gained fame, she followed in her father's and brother's footsteps, becoming a renowned figure in both film and singing. She starred in many action films, notably "Phi vu Phuong Hoang", "Truy na toi pham quoc te", and "Sai Gon trong trai tim em".

In 2001, Ly Huong married and moved to the US with her husband, where she gave birth to her first daughter. After her divorce, she returned to Vietnam for an extended period. In 2017, Ly Huong made a comeback in the "Tinh Bolero" program.
