The actor shared that the garden is cultivated within the grounds of his family's stilt house. Several varieties are in season, with many jackfruit trees bearing fruit "from root to tip". He noted that thanks to careful cultivation and watering, most trees, such as longan, mango, and jackfruit, are heavily laden with fruit. He enjoys strolling through the garden, personally picking and eating the fresh produce. When climbing a mango tree, the actor simply shakes it, and ripe, red fruits fall abundantly around the base, yielding a basin full.
Beyond fruit trees, Mac Van Khoa's garden also features various vegetables: water spinach, jute, malabar spinach, pumpkin, and winter melon. The actor stated that all produce is grown without pesticides, primarily for family meals and for gifting to neighbors and acquaintances. Occasionally, he brings his wife and 6-year-old daughter, Minnie, back to his hometown to enjoy nature and breathe the fresh air.
Mac Van Khoa and his sister built the stilt house in 2021, fulfilling their father's wish. The siblings contributed funds and hired a team of builders from Tay Bac for the construction. In the months leading up to the house's completion, he returned home to supervise each stage. At that time, the actor had saved his earnings for 5 years since starting his career, using the funds to build the house as a gift of filial piety to his parents.
