As artificial intelligence increasingly integrates into human life, American technology expert Celia Quillian has launched a guide to help individuals master AI. Titled "AI for Life", the book was released internationally in 2025. According to Amazon's description, the publication offers readers over one hundred ways to incorporate artificial intelligence into their personal lives.
The book is divided into two main parts, beginning with fundamental AI knowledge and progressing to practical applications in daily work. In the first section, the author provides a "crash course" that introduces common terminology, along with the advantages and limitations of popular chatbots like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and Perplexity AI.

According to Quillian, artificial intelligence is not a new topic. Before OpenAI captivated the world with ChatGPT in 2022, this technology had been silently serving people through numerous utilities. Features such as Siri's and Alexa's voice recognition, automatic spell correction, word suggestions on phones, and personalized content recommendations on social media all rely on AI.
Despite its utility, the expert advises against placing excessive trust in artificial intelligence. For instance, when searching for information, AI is generally reliable for questions in fields with abundant reference materials but can be prone to "hallucinations" on specialized topics with limited public sources. Users must verify the information provided by AI, cross-referencing multiple sources to ensure accuracy. Quillian also warns of the risk of personal data exposure and potential ethical issues related to machine-generated content.
In the second part of the book, Celia Quillian outlines over one hundred methods for leveraging AI in various aspects of life, including family care, health management, financial planning, personal development, and relationships. One of the most prominent topics is prompt writing skill. An effective prompt requires three elements: specific context, a clear action, and a defined goal. Users should employ appropriate verbs such as "summarize" or "suggest", and describe the desired outcome with precise words like "concise", "in-depth", or "easy to understand" to ensure the system operates efficiently.

Quillian also introduces advanced techniques such as "layered prompts", which involve breaking down a request into several consecutive steps. She notes there is no need to attempt to write a perfect prompt from the outset, as users can refine it through conversation with the chatbot. Beyond prompt writing tips, the author demonstrates how to utilize other beneficial features, such as summarizing large volumes of documents and processing complex data for students and professionals.
"AI for Life" has received ratings of 4,5/5 and 3,7/5 from readers on Amazon and Goodreads, respectively. Most reviews indicate the book is suitable for beginners interested in the field, praising its easy-to-understand and accessible writing style. On Amazon, one American reader commented that the publication could help older adults keep pace with technology due to its simple writing and numerous illustrative examples. A review stated: "Instead of feeling like AI is taking over the world, this book frames it as a tool that enhances and simplifies life when used correctly". However, some critics observed that much of the information and advice in the book was not particularly groundbreaking, having been widely known previously.
Celia Quillian is a leading expert in artificial intelligence, specializing in marketing strategy within the technology sector in Atlanta. She holds a bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University and a master's degree from Emory University's Goizueta Business School. Her work has been featured in numerous international publications, including Time, Axios, The New York Times, Forbes, and The Wall Street Journal.
