Actor Hoang Tu Thien died on 11/5 after a traffic accident, succumbing to his injuries despite medical treatment, Hongxing News reported on 20/5. His close friend, actor Nham Cuu Han, posted a tribute on 19/5, writing: "I never expected to see you again as you were being carried out of that cold room."

Sources indicated Hoang Tu Thien was passionate about motorcycles. In March, he posted a photo of himself riding, captioned: "While you're young, if you break a bone, it heals quickly." His dream was to create a sports film focusing on speed enthusiasts.

Hoang Tu Thien entered the short film industry in 2024, appearing in many works such as: Gap nhau trong mua nhe, Cong chua kieu ngao hoi han roi, Cu nhan khoa hoc Tham Quat, and Quay ve nam 80, gung van cang gia cang cay. In 2025, he gained significant attention for Hom nay Luc tong ket hon, a CEO-themed romance film. This work topped the list of trending short films on the Baidu app.

Beyond acting, Hoang Tu Thien also served as an assistant director for several historical dramas. Last year, he completed filming for multiple projects, with their release dates yet to be announced.
