Karolina Bielawska, Miss World 2021, held her crown while sheltering under an umbrella in the rain.
The downpour caused a disruption to the live broadcast. On stage, a video replayed highlights of Miss World activities from 8/8 until the final, covering Quang Ninh city, Hai Phong, and Khanh Hoa province. MC Luong Thuy Linh thanked the audience for their support. "Thank you for your patience", she said.

Miss World is one of two longest-running beauty pageants, considered among the most prestigious globally by experts and fans, alongside Miss Universe. The competition originated in England in 1951, having been held 72 times across various regions worldwide. It celebrates global unity by seeking women with beauty, education, and community projects.
For many years, Miss World has promoted the message "Beauty with a Purpose". This year, Vietnam hosted the competition for the first time.
