Dang Tran plays Dinh Khang, nicknamed the "river warrior", one of the heroes tasked with confronting enemies seeking to destroy the tomb of Dinh Tien Hoang. Despite being a supporting character, he left his mark with a series of action sequences. A standout martial arts scene features Dinh Khang confronting the "cold-blooded assassin" (played by Thai Tran).

The actor impressed with his chiseled face and strong physique. Dinh Khang is a man of few words, with sharp eyes but a warm personality, always showing affection for the female lead An Nhien (played by Thien Tu).

When she learned her brother-in-law was invited to audition by director Nguyen Phan Quang Binh, Ngo Thanh Van encouraged him to cast, believing the project suited his martial arts expertise.

Dang Tran said he received much advice from his sister-in-law before participating in his debut film. Ngo Thanh Van advised him to focus on expressions and eye contact, and when performing action scenes, to learn to pause for a beat for the camera to capture close-ups.

The actor garnered audience interest during the 'Soul Guardian Warrior' cine-tour event in early September. He stated that his biggest challenge while filming was the language barrier. When reading the script, he had to use translation software for difficult sections and discuss the character's body language with the director. Dang Tran's scenes were dubbed to ensure dialogue quality.

Dang Tran, 30, was born in Germany, studied acting in the US, and has appeared in supporting roles in several international action projects.

Standing 1.8 m tall, he works as a commercial model in Canada, collaborating with several fashion brands.
