Nguyen Van Chung states he practices dance for two hours daily with body liberation exercises to compete in "anh trai vuot ngan chong gai 2026".

Musician Nguyen Van Chung confirmed his participation in the reality TV show "anh trai vuot ngan chong gai 2026" on the evening of 12/5. To prepare for filming, he has dedicated two months to intensive dance practice with a private choreographer. "The competition is an opportunity for me to acquire new skills beyond my composing expertise," he stated.

Nguyen Van Chung, 43 years old, from Ho Chi Minh City, believes his extensive professional experience of over 20 years and his wide network of colleagues provide a significant advantage in "anh trai vuot ngan chong gai". This background will help him quickly adapt and connect with other talented individuals on the show. Through the program, he aims to promote a professional work ethic and a positive outlook on life.

The musician is currently pursuing a full-time university degree in Music Pedagogy at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. Balancing his academic program with being a single father to a teenager, Nguyen Van Chung admitted to feeling exhausted at times; however, he believes he can manage everything with effort.

Before becoming a musician, Nguyen Van Chung graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages - Information Technology. During his student years, he began composing, gaining fame with songs such as "nguoi thay", "vang trang khoc", "dem trang tinh yeu", and "ngoi nha hoa hong". In 2025, his song "viet tiep cau chuyen hoa binh" became a phenomenon, garnering over 5 billion views across platforms, performed by various singers including Duyen Quynh, Tung Duong, Vo Ha Tram, and Dong Hung. He has also achieved success in children's music, composing approximately 300 songs. The Vietnam Records Organization recognized him as the youngest musician with the most children's songs.

"anh trai vuot ngan chong gai" is the Vietnamese adaptation of the Chinese TV show "Call Me By Fire". The show features 33 male celebrities over 30 years old who are active in showbiz. Through various rounds, contestants perform in groups, with the 17 highest-scoring individuals forming a group called "gia toc toan nang". In its first season, the program aired 15 episodes, consistently leading weekly viewership ratings during prime time. Beyond television broadcasts, producers organized eight concerts, attracting tens of thousands of spectators in Ho Chi Minh City and Hung Yen.
