Stars gather with families on the first day of the Binh Ngo new year

Ly Hai and his wife took their children to their hometown to celebrate Tet with his mother, who is over 100 years old, while My Tam declined shows on the first day of the year to gather with her family.

The first day of the Binh Ngo new year (2026) saw many Vietnamese celebrities embracing the cherished tradition of family reunion. Despite their busy schedules, stars across various fields prioritized spending time with their loved ones, traveling to hometowns or gathering in their homes to celebrate the Lunar New Year. This annual occasion underscores the deep cultural value placed on family bonds and traditions during Tet.

Ly Hai, along with his wife and children, traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Tien Giang (Dong Thap Moi) to extend new year wishes to his family. He expressed happiness that his mother, who is 101 years old this year, remains lucid and surrounded by her children and grandchildren. The artist stated that his greatest wish is for his mother to enjoy good health.

Actress Le Phuong and her husband returned to their hometown of An Giang to welcome spring, wish their parents a happy new year, and visit relatives. The actress hopes for favorable outcomes in the new year and for her family to remain united and loving.

Singer My Tam shared that she does not accept shows during the Tet holidays, preferring to be with her family. For the singer, happiness means her parents are healthy and her siblings always care for each other.

Ho Ngoc Ha and Kim Ly, with their twin children, gathered to celebrate spring with both sets of parents.

Singer Chi Pu celebrated the new year with her nieces and nephews in her hometown of Hanoi.

Singer Hong Nhung visited her father in Ho Chi Minh City for the first meal of the year. Her father, translator Le Van Vien, is 86 years old. Every year, she prepares a traditional Tet feast for her family to enjoy.

Actor Ly Hung took his mother, Doan Thi Nguyen, who is nearly 80 years old, to visit Nguyen Hue Flower Street in Ho Chi Minh City. The actor shared that in recent Tet seasons, after his father, artist Ly Huynh, passed away, he has dedicated all his time to his mother, traveling with her to various places.

Actress Ly Huong, Ly Hung's sister, and her 24-year-old daughter, Jessica Ly, posed at the new landscape of Ben Thanh Market. Jessica has lived in the United States since childhood, so Ly Huong is delighted every Tet when her daughter returns to Vietnam to reunite with family.
