Vietnamese singer Suni Ha Linh has unveiled a new duet, 'It's Okay, I'm Here', with Taiwanese star Sam Lin, released as a special thank you to her fans. The song, originally released seven years ago, garnered over 101 million YouTube views. This new version comes after Suni's participation in the Chinese show "Sisters Who Make Waves" in 2024.
The collaboration between the two artists began online after a mutual producer introduced them. Suni initiated the idea, inviting Sam to join. She kept her original music and contributed her Chinese vocals, a language she has studied extensively. Sam Lin penned and recorded new lyrics for his part, later sending them to Suni's team.
Suni Ha Linh was moved by the profound meaning in Sam Lin's newly added lyrics. Sam's verse includes lines such as: "In the quiet late night, you are silently alone. Your sadness covers your smile. Those wounds, I understand them all. Beautiful skies always come after storms." The duet features new arrangements, blending Mandopop (Mandarin pop music) influences with modern R&B, aiming for a youthful, comforting sound that provides an open atmosphere for listeners.
