She said, "My family is here today, so I will speak directly to them. I used to believe that only grand moments truly mattered. But while learning about Japanese culture, I discovered mono no aware—the poignant beauty of transient things: like how autumn leaves falling make everything beautiful; like children hugging me and smiling; or every delicious bowl of ramen reminding me to appreciate life and enjoy each moment. I am incredibly grateful to be here, and I truly had a wonderful time."
