On 31/5, Huong Giang met Veena for a meal at a restaurant after the Miss Grand International All Stars 2026 final. She expressed joy that participating in the competition brought them together. During the 15 days in Thailand, Veena frequently messaged or attended the live show to cheer on Huong Giang.

On the evening of 30/5, Veena was chosen by the organizers to present the World's Choice Award to Huong Giang. At the end of the event, Veena embraced and congratulated Huong Giang on winning the second runner-up title. Their friendship developed when they competed together in the 74th Miss Universe in 11/2025, where the organizers assigned them to the same room. They assisted each other with makeup, hair, and outfit preparation before each activity. As a result, Veena won first runner-up, while Huong Giang did not place. At that time, Veena said, "in my heart, Huong Giang is the true winner", as a way to encourage her.

Veena described Huong Giang as kind and polite. "Whenever I come to Vietnam, I will meet her. We will be this close forever," said the Miss Universe 2025 first runner-up.

According to Huong Giang, their friendship developed based on mutual respect. For Veena's birthday in 4, Huong Giang asked a relative traveling in Thailand to buy and send a gift. Huong Giang hopes to invite Veena to TP HCM to participate in reality shows she produces in the near future.
