Live Nation, the entertainment company, announced on 20/11, according to Rolling Stone, that The Weeknd's "After Hours Til Dawn" tour had surpassed one billion USD in revenue. This milestone was reached after tickets for 2026 shows in Mexico, Brazil, Europe, and the UK went on sale. The tour now holds the record as the highest-grossing tour by a solo male artist, exceeding English singer Elton John's Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour (2018-2023), which earned 939 million USD.

Since its launch in 7/2022, The Weeknd's tour has sold over 7,5 million tickets across 153 shows in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Australia. Omar Al-joulani, Live Nation's president of concerts, noted that The Weeknd is redefining the concept of a global touring artist. Al-joulani emphasized that the tour's one billion USD revenue milestone underscores The Weeknd's resilience and the immense fan demand for his live performances. He added, "The After Hours Til Dawn concert series stands as one of the largest tours in history, a true reflection of the artist's impact and artistry".

Despite its impressive success, the tour faced a critical moment when The Weeknd lost his voice in 9/2022. This incident happened mid-performance of his hit "Can't Feel My Face" at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. He apologized to the audience from the stage, expressing his inability to deliver the intended show. After a two-month hiatus for recovery, he resumed the tour, restarting the SoFi performance.
The Weeknd is also sharing tour profits with humanitarian organizations, according to Variety. He has already contributed over 8,5 million USD to the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen. Funds generated from 2026 shows are earmarked to further support Global Citizen's World Food Program.

Born Abel Tesfaye in Canada in 1990, The Weeknd launched his music career in 2010. He has since sold over 100 million records, garnered 4 Grammy awards, 20 Billboard awards, and received one Oscar nomination. His extensive list of hit songs includes: "Starboy", "Save Your Tears", "Die For You", and "One of the Girls". In 2023, The Weeknd also co-produced the television series "The Idol", featuring Lily-Rose Depp, daughter of Johnny Depp, and Jennie of Blackpink. The series, however, drew significant negative reviews, with many viewers labeling it "trashy". He is currently in a relationship with DJ Simi Khadra.
