On 13/5, Truc Diem participated in the casting for the Victoria's Secret 2026 show at Beverly Center, Los Angeles. She wore a fitted outfit consisting of a camisole and a short skirt. After her body measurements were taken and she removed her makeup to reveal her bare face, she performed her catwalk on the T-shaped runway.

Her catwalk video was subsequently shared on social media, attracting public attention. Many viewers commented that her walk was not good, with remarks such as: "Terrible catwalk", and "Why does she keep bouncing as she walks?".
Truc Diem stated that she understands the audience's perspective and their high expectations for her. She explained that as soon as she stepped onto the stage, she noticed her shoe strap was loose, almost coming undone, which made her steps stiff and unnatural. "Perhaps the performance was not what everyone expected. But I believe I handled it as best as I could. I welcome audience feedback to further improve my skills", she said.
According to Truc Diem, Victoria's Secret's model selection criteria have evolved from previous years, moving in new directions. Catwalk ability is only one of the important criteria. The brand also considers factors such as physique, confidence, appropriate expressions, media presence, and the model's personal story.

Truc Diem arrived at the audition venue early in the morning to queue and finished her segment at 5 pm. She reported that the interview portion went well. Throughout the entire casting day, she did not eat, only drank water. "There were many things to prepare and execute according to the organizers' requirements, so I even forgot about hunger", she said.
Following the audition day, the model stated she would rest for a few days, then intensify her health training and catwalk practice. "I am happy because I have always pushed myself to live and strive. I believe that girls at any age have the opportunity to reinvent themselves".

Truong Tri Truc Diem was born in 1987 in TP HCM. She was the first runner-up at the Miss Vietnam Women through Photography 2005 pageant. She later participated in Miss Earth 2007, where she won the "Miss Fashion" award. In 2011, she entered the top 15 at Miss International. While living in Vietnam, Truc Diem worked in the arts in various roles such as model, actress, singer, and emcee. She married businessman John Tu in 2015 and divorced in 2021. Currently, the model lives and works in Los Angeles, US.
Victoria's Secret, founded in 1977 in California, is a lingerie brand coveted by many models. This year's fashion show is scheduled to take place in the fall. After Los Angeles, the company will continue to hold castings in Miami on 21-22/5. The organizers are expected to announce the list of selected models in June.
