Victor Vu and Dinh Ngoc Diep's family home

Director Victor Vu expressed gratitude for actress Dinh Ngoc Diep's dedication to their family, raising their two children, and her collaborative role in his films over the past 10 years.

On 25/6, director Victor Vu and his wife attended the announcement ceremony for Chien Bao, a historical film centered on the Lam Son uprising, held in Thanh Hoa. Commemorating his 20th film, Victor Vu publicly acknowledged his wife, Dinh Ngoc Diep, for her unwavering support as a producer throughout his career.

Victor Vu and his wife, Dinh Ngoc Diep, were photographed with their two sons, 8-year-old Landon and 6-year-old Noland, at the wrap party for the film Detective Kien Part Two in early June.

In mid-March, the couple celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary with a photoshoot. Victor Vu shared that his wife and two children imbue all his joys and dreams with deeper meaning. Dinh Ngoc Diep, in turn, regards her husband as the family's pillar, loving and devoted to his wife and children.

Victor Vu was pictured with his father-in-law, journalist Hong Thai, at an event late last year. The director and the writer share a mutual passion for cinema and detective stories, often engaging in all-night conversations on these subjects. In 2023, when Victor filmed The Last Wife, a movie inspired by Hong Thai's novel Ho Oan Han, the author contributed significantly, participating in the final script revisions.

In mid-2025, the Vu family traveled to the United States for their two children to visit Victor's father. Dinh Ngoc Diep recounted how the two grandchildren bonded closely with their grandfather, enjoying walks and the beautiful summer scenery together.

The two boys were seen playing chess with their paternal grandfather. When not occupied with film projects, the couple cherishes these warm family reunions with their relatives.

Following their marriage, Dinh Ngoc Diep largely transitioned behind the scenes, primarily taking on roles in films directed by her husband or occasional guest appearances in projects by colleagues. She expressed a desire to shift her focus to film production and media support, driven by her passion for learning and exploring new facets of the industry.

Dinh Ngoc Diep starred as the female lead, Hai Man, in Detective Kien Part One, released in 2025. Victor Vu revealed that on set, he offers candid criticism to his wife if she makes acting errors. During one particular shoot, she became distracted by their two children being present on set, leading him to remark that her "acting felt artificial." Following his feedback, she refocused and successfully completed the scene.

The couple often coordinates their outfits for public appearances.

Victor Vu, 51, has established a notable career with films such as Bride Wars, Blood of the Samurai, Scandal, and Vengeful Heart. In 2015, Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass, an adaptation of Nguyen Nhat Anh's story, became a box office sensation. Victor Vu subsequently earned the Best Director award for a Feature Film at the Vietnam Film Festival. In 2019, Dreamy Eyes, based on the novel of the same name, achieved a revenue of 180 billion VND and was awarded the Golden Lotus Award in 2021.

Dinh Ngoc Diep, 42, held the title of Miss Tay Do in 2004 and was recognized as Favorite Model at the Vietnam Model Awards in 2006. Her notable film credits include Passport to Love, Bride Wars, and The Immortal.
