On social media, Truong Ky Trung posted photos of two of his 4 children playing in Ho Chi Minh City. Many viewers commented on how adorable and fast-growing the children were. According to Chinese media, Truong Ky Trung's family had long planned the trip. Their vacation lasted from 15/2 to 23/2.

Born in 1951, Truong Ky Trung is known as a "wuxia film mogul" for funding numerous adaptations of Kim Dung's novels, including The Smiling, Proud Wanderer (2001), The Legend of the Condor Heroes (2003), Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils (2003), The Return of the Condor Heroes (2006), The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber (2009), and Ode to Gallantry (2014). He also played many supporting roles in the films he produced, such as Vuong Nguyen Ba in The Smiling, Proud Wanderer and Vuong Trung Duong in The Legend of the Condor Heroes.
He and Do Tinh Lam registered their marriage in 3/2017. Their eldest son is 9, their second daughter is 6, and their youngest daughter is two. Before marrying the director, Do Tinh Lam had a son with a former foreign partner. Truong Ky Trung also has children from a previous marriage.

On Tianjin TV, Tinh Lam stated that her husband rarely gets a full night's sleep, having to wake up for crying children, change diapers, and feed the baby.
