Singer Thu Minh returned to the stage on the evening of 5/6 with a minishow in TP HCM, marking her comeback after two years. During the event, she shared that the growth and affection of her students serve as a strong motivation for her to continue her singing career. The singer surprised the audience by inviting student Vu Thao My to perform a duet of "Giot mua thu" by Dang The Phong, receiving applause for their harmonious performance.
Thu Minh, who has resided in Singapore since 2019, admitted to being somewhat "playful," meaning less active, but credits her junior artists for reigniting her musical inspiration. Despite not performing as frequently as before, she remains in the public eye through performance clips and vocal lessons shared on TikTok.
Upon hearing of Thu Minh's return, Truc Nhan encouraged his mentor not to lose her "passion for the craft." Thu Minh expressed her emotion at the concern and reminder from her close student.

The three-hour minishow saw Thu Minh and her band guide the audience through various emotions, featuring both her signature hits and popular contemporary songs. She presented a fresh acoustic rendition of "Ai chung tinh duoc mai" by Dong Thien Duc. Thu Minh maintained her powerful vocal style, improvising and transforming high notes with her falsetto technique.
As the show progressed, her performance grew more energetic. She fulfilled audience requests for popular songs like "Anh sang doi toi" by Minh Chau and "Nho anh" by Ky Phuong. At one point, she shifted the mood with the bolero "Phut cuoi" by Lam Phuong. Concluding the show, Thu Minh stated that she lives and sings purely by instinct. "Whenever I sing on stage, I live truly with my emotions," she said.
Thu Minh began her music career in 1992, gaining fame with songs such as "Nho anh" by Ky Phuong, "Chuong gio" by Vo Thien Thanh, and "Mong anh ve" by Duong Cam. At 16 years old, she won first prize in the Tieng hat Truyen hinh TP HCM competition, later receiving awards including Lan song xanh, Bai hat Viet, and Album vang.
