Miss Yen Nhi returned from Ho Chi Minh City for Tet, celebrating the New Year in a newly renovated home with her family. Her act of filial piety involved using her savings and prize money to repair her parents' house, which was severely damaged by a historic flood in Dong Hoa ward in 11/2025.

The 11/2025 flood caused significant damage to her family's home, forcing them to evacuate. Yen Nhi, far away at the time, was unable to contact her parents, leading to great anxiety. She even posted on social media, seeking help for her father after his boat capsized. Fortunately, her family remained safe.
Yen Nhi's mother has sold lottery tickets for over 20 years, and her father works as a bricklayer's assistant. Their limited income meant they lacked the financial means to repair the house after the flood. Yen Nhi stepped in, using a portion of her Miss Grand Vietnam prize money and personal savings to fund the renovations.
The repairs included a partial overhaul of the roof and ceiling. Severely damaged sections were retiled and repainted. "Upon returning, I was happy to see the sturdy house. I felt joy seeing the happiness in my parents' eyes", Yen Nhi shared.
Beyond repairs, Yen Nhi bought new household items and decorated the home with flowers. Celebrating Tet for the first time as a beauty queen, she experienced many emotions. During the new year, her family visited relatives to extend Tet greetings. "My biggest wish is for my loved ones to always be healthy", she stated.

Her father, Nguyen Van Hien, 49, revealed that his daughter not only helped with house repairs but also covered his hospital fees and medication during illnesses. "I don't discuss these things much because I don't want to pressure my child. We never asked her to show filial piety. When Yen Nhi takes care of everything like this, I feel proud", he said.
After nearly half a year in the public eye, Yen Nhi noted her growth in many areas. She acknowledged past shortcomings and moments of incomplete public support, learning valuable lessons from missteps in her conduct.
Currently, the beauty queen seeks more career opportunities and a better income to further improve her family's life. "Once I've taken care of my parents, then I'll think about my private life", Yen Nhi added. She plans for her parents to retire from strenuous manual labor, envisioning a small grocery store at home for them.
In the Binh Ngo year, Yen Nhi aims for self-improvement across various fields. She plans to study acting, train in hosting, and enhance her communication skills. She also harbors several sustainable community projects to support disadvantaged individuals.
Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi, 22, stands 1,72 m tall, with measurements of 81-64-92 cm. She is a student of Tourism and Travel Services Management at Van Hien University. After being crowned Miss Grand Vietnam in 9/2025, she competed in Miss Grand International in Thailand but did not secure a title.
