According to ABC News on 29/6, Amberly Saner, the nursing manager of the obstetrics department, stated that the list of pregnant staff grew longer each month. Recently, 15 of the 17 nurses, who are 12 to 35 weeks pregnant, gathered in uniform for a commemorative photo at the hospital. This group includes both first-time mothers and nurses expecting their second or third child.

This rare coincidence has fostered a special bond within the department, as colleagues constantly exchange tips and share their pregnancy experiences. Close friends Maddie and Rileigh, who have worked together for five years, are also both expecting their second child. Rileigh, currently 31 weeks pregnant, expressed full trust in her colleagues and plans to have Maddie deliver her baby. They hope their children can grow up together after birth.
Although a significant number of staff will go on maternity leave in the coming months, Saner affirmed that the department's operations will not be disrupted. With nearly 200 nurses and caregivers, the hospital has mobilized support staff to take on extra shifts, and part-time employees are ready to increase their working hours to cover staffing gaps.
Delivering a colleague's baby brings great joy to the medical team, thanks to mutual understanding and absolute trust. Rileigh shared that everything happened naturally and was not planned, and the nurses feel fortunate to share this journey together.
