Anh Tu Clinic held its first annual Scientific Conference with the theme "Technical Improvements in Cosmetic Dermatology" on 22/6 at the GEM Center, TP HCM. The event was part of a series of activities celebrating the clinic's two-year anniversary. Guests and speakers included experts from Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, University of Medicine and Pharmacy in TP HCM, and leading general and specialized hospitals.

In his opening speech, Associate Professor Doctor Nguyen Trong Hao, President of the TP HCM Dermatology Association, affirmed the importance of technical improvements to enhance treatment quality in cosmetic dermatology. He emphasized the need for safe approaches and minimizing side effects, especially for potentially risky procedures like cosmetic injections. Additionally, for facilities and clinics with limited resources, technical improvements on existing equipment can replace expensive technologies to address various cosmetic skin issues.

Doctor Hao stated that the PDL laser is the "gold standard" for treating vascular lesions. However, due to its high cost, maintenance, and replacement expenses, only major hospitals and centers can utilize this technology. He analyzed and suggested alternative devices for treating vascular lesions, such as the KTP 532nm, Alexandrite 755nm, Diode 800–940nm, long-pulsed Nd:YAG 1064nm, CO2, and IPL lasers.

At the event, Anh Tu Clinic's doctors shared practical clinical topics based on years of experience in cosmetic dermatology.

In his report, Doctor Tran Nguyen Anh Tu, founder of Anh Tu Clinic, argued that filler injections should be personalized for each age group due to varying aging characteristics, tissue structures, and aesthetic needs. The definition of beauty also differs between younger and older individuals. Therefore, product selection, injection techniques, and treatment plans must be tailored for optimal results and customer satisfaction.

Doctor Lu Huynh Thanh Thao, a physician at Anh Tu Clinic, addressed lip rejuvenation needs in people over 40 by analyzing the mechanisms and roles of injection and laser methods. Based on each patient's lip aging characteristics, such as pigmentation disorders, wrinkles, and volume loss, doctors will determine the optimal treatment method.

Meanwhile, Doctors Pham Nhat Nguyen and Chau Quoc Khanh, physicians at Anh Tu Clinic, discussed two popular injection techniques in the cosmetic dermatology market: Polynucleotide and CaHA. According to the doctors, evaluating skin quality, the degree of aging, and the client's actual needs are crucial for optimizing effectiveness and minimizing side effects.

Besides Anh Tu Clinic's experts, many guests also shared practical clinical issues in dermatology. Associate Professor Doctor Ngo Minh Vinh, Deputy Head of the Dermatology Department at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, provided an in-depth analysis of laser equipment parameter selection for effective skin rejuvenation.

Doctor Nguyen Ngoc Oanh from the Department of Dermatology and Burns at Bach Mai Hospital, discussed the popular topic of pore reduction using Botulinum toxin injections, highlighting its effectiveness, safety, and affordability. According to Doctor Oanh, careful assessment of each individual's skin condition is essential for optimizing results, leading to the appropriate dilution and technique.

In addition to the cosmetic dermatology topics, Associate Professor Doctor Hoang Quoc Truong, a lecturer in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in TP HCM, noted the increasing prevalence of allergic diseases in children. He explained that second-generation H1 antihistamines are preferred for treating urticaria, allergic rhinitis, and allergic conjunctivitis. However, drug selection must be based on age, disease, dosage duration, and drug metabolism.
