The technology ecosystem transferred from Topcon Healthcare to Mat Saigon hospitals, part of Saigon Medical Group, is expected to create a "smart hospital" model. The philosophy of "smart imaging - smart process - smart results" involves not only installing equipment but also restructuring the entire eye care process. This approach uses data and technology to deliver optimal clinical outcomes.
Huynh Le Duc, General Director of Saigon Medical Group, which manages the Mat Saigon hospital system, stated that the organization aims to possess the latest technologies. Concurrently, it seeks to build a seamless, smart, and patient-centric eye care process. "Partnering with Topcon Healthcare and DKSH Vietnam is a strategic move for us to realize our vision of a 'smart hospital' model, where technology and the expertise of our medical team synergize to produce the best treatment results."

Integrated AI and data technology: the core of the cooperation
The focus of this three-way cooperation lies in applying Topcon Healthcare's advanced digital and AI solutions to the diagnostic processes at Mat Saigon hospitals. Leading modern diagnostic devices such as optical coherence tomography (oct), fundus photography, corneal topography, and ocular biometry will connect to a unified data management software platform. This integration provides doctors with a comprehensive view of eye conditions, synchronizes data, and accurately tracks disease progression.
Specifically, Topcon Healthcare's artificial intelligence (AI) will be deployed to support retinal image analysis, screening, and early detection of complex fundus pathologies such as diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma. AI helps minimize subjective errors and significantly shortens diagnosis time, enhancing the accuracy of clinical decisions.
Leo Nagatake, Chief Executive Officer of Topcon Healthcare SEA, noted that this cooperation affirms Topcon Healthcare's long-term commitment to equipping medical professionals in Vietnam with technology to transform eye care processes. "By integrating imaging solutions, data management, and AI, we aim to create a smarter and more connected ophthalmology ecosystem, benefiting both doctors and patients," Nagatake said.

According to the parties, this cooperation carries profound social significance. The deployment of Topcon Healthcare's integrated technology system at Mat Saigon hospitals, along with operational and technical support from DKSH Vietnam, represents a commitment to community vision health.
Beyond its social impact, this cooperation holds strategic and professional significance. Professionally, it helps standardize diagnostic and treatment processes, enhancing accuracy, surgical safety, and the research and training capabilities of Vietnamese doctors. Strategically, this is a milestone that promotes the transfer and application of global medical technology, helping to narrow Vietnam's technology gap with the world.
Ankur Pandey, Vice President, Healthcare Business, DKSH Vietnam, shared: "This collaboration clearly demonstrates the combination of global technological innovation and medical expertise. It expands access to quality eye care services for Vietnamese patients across the country."
