Foods to lower uric acid

These healthy fats help combat joint pain and swelling caused by uric acid crystals. Omega-3s also promote better blood circulation, supporting kidney function and uric acid filtration.

Whole grains and complex carbohydrates: The fiber in oats, brown rice, barley, and whole wheat helps regulate blood sugar levels and control uric acid. Complex carbohydrates in whole grains can also help prevent gout attacks by reducing insulin resistance, a factor that can increase uric acid levels.

Green tea: Catechins, potent antioxidants abundant in green tea, have anti-inflammatory properties. Regularly drinking green tea can benefit the kidneys. In addition to its soothing effects, it helps the body process and eliminate excess uric acid.
