Ninh Thuan General Hospital opened the "Understanding and Compassion" shelter in Do Vinh Ward on the morning of 3/8. Located adjacent to the oncology department, the 120-square-meter facility provides 40 beds, each equipped with lighting, fans, and personal lockers.
The nearly 500 million VND project, a collaboration between a volunteer group and the hospital, aims to support families and patients facing financial hardship during extended treatments.

Dr. Le Huy Thach, Director of Ninh Thuan General Hospital, described the shelter as a compassionate initiative, implemented through community partnerships, contributing to the mental well-being of those in difficult circumstances.
"This facility will alleviate the burden on patients' families, allowing them to focus on caring for their loved ones during long-term treatment," Thach said, adding that the hospital will continue to expand such initiatives, striving to make Ninh Thuan General Hospital a friendly, humane, and professional institution.
