The program directly involves leading global professors, who are prominent experts in modern fetal medicine. In addition to teaching, this team collaborates with Vinmec on curriculum development to ensure the program aligns with the most reputable international recommendations.
Among the instructors are Professor Yves Ville, head of the department of obstetrics and fetal medicine at Necker Hospital (France), known as one of the world's pioneers in fetal intervention. Also participating is Professor Mark Kilby, a renowned fetal medicine expert from the University of Birmingham (United Kingdom). The program further includes Doctor Bertrand Stos, an expert in fetal and pediatric heart pathology, and Doctor Pierre Mace, a specialist in ultrasound, central nervous system, and fetal cardiovascular conditions, both from Necker Hospital (France).

According to Master of Science, Doctor Dinh Thi Hien Le, vice chair of the Obstetrics Specialty Council and head of the fetal medicine department at Vinmec Times City International General Hospital, the program follows a three-stage roadmap: foundational, clinical, and interventional. This approach helps participants master techniques while also gaining a deep understanding of disease mechanisms, thereby enhancing their diagnostic capabilities and clinical decision-making skills.
The training content comprehensively covers core areas of modern fetal medicine, ranging from foundational science, advanced ultrasound, genetics, and prenatal diagnosis to fetal intervention and genetic counseling.
A prominent feature of the course is fetal intervention. Participants learn modern techniques such as laser treatment for twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, intrauterine blood transfusion, and shunt placement. Beyond theoretical lectures, the program emphasizes training through real clinical cases, intervention videos, and direct guided practice.
"Vinmec aims not only to provide treatment but also to build a successor team, standardizing knowledge and clinical practice skills in fetal medicine according to international standards," Doctor Hien Le stated. "We want every transferred technique and updated piece of knowledge to open up more opportunities for fetal survival from the earliest stages of life."

The implementation of this first intensive fetal medicine training program represents a strategic step for Vinmec in its journey to establish a leading fetal medicine center in Vietnam. Simultaneously, the institution aims to enhance the diagnostic, interventional, and high-risk pregnancy care capabilities of domestic doctors.
