Hai Yen Eye Care celebrates 10 years of growth

From a specialized eye clinic in 2015, Hai Yen Eye Care has grown into a major private ophthalmology center in Ho Chi Minh City, serving thousands of patients domestically and internationally.

In June 2025, Hai Yen Eye Care marked its 10th anniversary. Beyond examinations and treatments for eye diseases, Hai Yen Eye Care is a research, training, and technology transfer center for young doctors. It also implements medical accreditation according to the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF) standards, one of the most rigorous international standards for quality and safety.

The center was founded by Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Hai Yen, who has over 30 years of experience in ophthalmology. Dr. Yen held various management positions at the Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital, including Head of the Refractive Surgery Department and Deputy Director. She was also a pioneer in refractive surgery in Vietnam, introducing modern techniques like wavefront guided LASIK, topography-guided LASIK, EpiLASIK, Femto LASIK, SMILE, and phakic ICL.

Over the past decade, Dr. Yen has led Hai Yen Eye Care to become a comprehensive eye care center for all ages. The center offers a range of services: myopia control, refractive surgery (nearsightedness, astigmatism, farsightedness), presbyopia treatment, cataract surgery, diabetic retinopathy treatment, glaucoma management, strabismus correction, dry eye treatment, and treatments for conditions related to modern lifestyles. To ensure optimal treatment, the clinic invests in advanced equipment that meets international standards, especially for microsurgical techniques like SMILE, Femto LASIK, phakic ICL, and phacoemulsification.

The center's medical team includes Doctor Tran Dinh Minh Huy, the Asia-Pacific Ambassador for the International Myopia Institute (IMI). Dr. Huy has performed thousands of refractive surgeries and participated in numerous multicenter clinical studies with renowned universities and research institutes in the US and Australia. He earned his doctorate in ophthalmology from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and completed short-term fellowships at Harvard Medical School and the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital – world-renowned ophthalmology centers.

Other key doctors include Doctor Nguyen Truong Tuong Duy, Doctor Ha Thi Xuan Thao, and Master, Doctor Tran Minh Man.

After 10 years, Hai Yen Eye Care has not only built a modern healthcare system but also earned community trust through its expertise and long-term patient care. One patient who had myopia surgery over 20 years ago shared, "Dr. Yen operated on my eyes at the Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital. Later, when I learned she opened her own clinic, I brought my child and parents for checkups".

With the motto "Your vision - Our mission," Hai Yen Eye Care continues to expand, improve service quality, and contribute to the development of ophthalmology in Vietnam.
