Directed by the Ministry of Health and organized by the Preventive Medicine Department in collaboration with the Suc khoe & Doi song newspaper, the 9-month competition saw participation from over 2,000 public and private healthcare facilities across 34 provinces and cities. It fostered industry-wide emulation, contributing to improved healthcare environments, enhanced patient experiences, and stronger bonds among medical professionals.
At the awards ceremony held at the Viet Xo Friendship Cultural Palace in Hanoi on the evening of 7/8, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan emphasized that a "green" healthcare facility isn't just about plants and landscaping. It also encompasses sustainable development, energy conservation, plastic waste reduction, and a focus on preventative care for the community.
Similarly, a "clean" facility includes a physically clean space, a safe environment, minimized infection risks, and health protection for both patients and medical staff.
Minister Dao Hong Lan expressed her hope that the 'Green - Clean - Beautiful' competition would continue to thrive, expand its reach, and further align with sustainable development and digital transformation goals.

The Minister then proposed three action points. First, leaders of health departments and facilities nationwide should consider the "green - clean - beautiful" criteria as core quality indicators, integrating them into annual action plans and performance evaluations. The competition should become a continuous improvement cycle where facilities constantly learn, innovate, and excel.
Second, every healthcare worker, especially core members of trade unions and youth organizations, should act as ambassadors, keeping the spirit of the movement alive within their departments. Small actions, from waste sorting and conserving water and electricity to caring for plants, contribute to significant change.
Third, media agencies should continue to highlight positive stories and successful models. The Minister urged the public to become partners and impartial judges, helping the healthcare sector improve its services.
Nguyen Bach Diep, Chairwoman of FPT Retail and CEO of Long Chau pharmacy and vaccination system, viewed the competition as a practical initiative creating sustainable value by enhancing service quality at healthcare facilities and raising environmental awareness within the sector.

Long Chau not only provides healthcare products and services but also serves as a place where people feel heard and cared for. According to Nguyen Bach Diep, based on this positioning, the company prioritizes a clean, organized, and friendly environment, ensuring safety from the reception area to operational procedures, medication storage, and medical waste disposal.
"We strive to build a meticulous pharmacy and vaccination center system with dedicated service. This is a practical way to make each healthcare touchpoint civilized, friendly, and trustworthy. I believe that when all units and individuals in the healthcare sector unite, and each small action is carried out with determination and responsibility, it will yield great results," Diep added.
The organizers announced 20 outstanding units across five categories: central, provincial, regional (formerly district), communal, and private healthcare facilities. Each category had four awards: first, second, third, and consolation prizes.
