On the evening of 23/7, a representative of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital reported admitting a victim of the pickup truck crash that involved 7 motorcycles in Hanoi earlier that afternoon. Examinations and scans revealed that the man suffered injuries to his head, jaw, chest, and abdomen. After a consultation, doctors decided on emergency surgery to save his life.

The patient is currently in intensive care, and his prognosis is uncertain.

That afternoon, a middle-aged man was driving a pickup truck slowly on Kham Thien Street when the vehicle suddenly accelerated. The truck hit a young man exiting an alleyway and then struck a man standing on the sidewalk, trapping him underneath. The truck finally stopped after crashing into several motorcycles parked outside a billiards parlor. The accident spanned approximately 20 meters.

At the scene, 7 motorcycles were damaged, some severely. Parts of the pickup truck's plastic bumper were broken. Police have cordoned off the area to investigate the cause of the accident.
