Long Chau announced on 6/8 that people can register for consultations, schedule online appointments, and receive vaccinations from their experienced medical staff. Each individual receives comprehensive healthcare before, during, and after their vaccination.
The representative also stated that Long Chau's vaccine storage system adheres to strict WHO standards, utilizing AI, IoT, and multi-layered 24/7 alerts. This ensures the vaccines are kept at the ideal temperature (2-8 degrees Celsius), maintaining their quality and effectiveness.
"Proactive vaccination not only protects loved ones and families from unforeseen risks but also contributes to building a healthy and happy community, aiming towards 'A Healthier Vietnam'," the announcement stated.
According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), meningococcal meningitis is an acute infectious disease transmitted through the respiratory tract. It typically has an incubation period of two to 10 days, often going unnoticed until symptoms appear.
Initially, meningococcal disease may present with flu-like symptoms such as fever, nausea, and fatigue, which can be easily mistaken by parents as a common cold. However, the disease progresses rapidly and can be dangerous.
The CDC states that without prompt treatment, the fatality rate for meningococcal meningitis can reach 50%. Even with treatment, one in five individuals may experience severe complications such as deafness, nerve damage, limb loss, or permanent scarring.

The CDC points out that children under 5 are most vulnerable due to their underdeveloped immune systems, increasing their risk of meningococcal infection. Teenagers are also at risk due to frequent exposure in crowded environments like classrooms, dormitories, entertainment venues, and cafes, which facilitate bacterial transmission.
For older adults and those with underlying health conditions (cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or kidney failure), weakened immune systems can lead to rapid disease progression and a higher risk of death.
The WHO (World Health Organization) recommends meningococcal conjugate vaccines as a proactive preventive measure. Early vaccination for children from 12 months and adults can significantly reduce the number of cases, prevent community spread, and protect the most vulnerable groups.
MenQuadfi, manufactured by Sanofi and approved by the Drug Administration of Vietnam - Ministry of Health, is indicated for active immunization against invasive meningococcal disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis (serogroups A, C, W135, and Y) for children 12 months and older, as well as adults. For the first time, there's a vaccine that protects people over 55—a group previously not covered by other meningococcal vaccines.

According to a Sanofi representative, a key feature of MenQuadfi is its conjugate technology with tetanus toxoid, which enhances immune memory, creating a strong and long-lasting response. With a single dose, individuals can receive comprehensive protection, easily integrating it into other vaccination schedules.
