Stacey, a finance professional from New York, always led in style but lacked an hourglass figure. This changed after she spent nearly 45,000 USD to augment her hips and buttocks with fat donated from a deceased individual, according to the NY Post.
"Initially, it sounded 'creepy'", Stacey, 34, shared. "But from a scientific perspective, using tissue from deceased donors, such as bone, skin, or tendons, has been a part of medicine for decades."

The Manhattan-based finance professional used donor tissue for a mini Brazilian butt lift. She also used this donor fat to fill hip depressions and correct the aftermath of a botched liposuction procedure on her left thigh.
"The tissue source undergoes strict control and has clear ethical origins", she said enthusiastically about the deceased donor body parts. "It feels like we are recycling."
AlloClae, a product from tissue engineering company Tiger Aesthetics, is described by Dr. Darren Smith, President of the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons, as an "off-the-shelf fat graft". Unlike artificial fillers, this material undergoes a strict sterilization process, completely removing the donor's DNA while maintaining its natural 3D honeycomb structure. This structure helps fat cells form immediate volume, maintain elasticity, and integrate well into the recipient site. The supply is rigorously managed by the Association of Medical Schools of New York (AMSNY), accepting donations only from individuals over 18 who donate their bodies to science, have intact bodies, no infectious diseases, and have not undergone an autopsy.
However, the company does not specify the exact origin of the fat used. Representatives from Tiger Aesthetics have not yet responded regarding the production process, cadaver screening, or the surge in AlloClae's popularity since its launch last year. Currently, from the Upper East Side elite to reality television stars like Taylor Frankie Paul, all are actively seeking injections of this specialized fat tissue.
Dr. Smith considers this an invaluable solution for slender, toned patients who lack sufficient autologous fat for traditional fat grafting, which typically requires 300-500 cc. With AlloClae, doctors only need to inject about 50 cc per side for shaping. This minimally invasive method allows patients to avoid the painful liposuction procedure and the risk of deformation at the fat harvesting site.

Katrina Daphne, a pilates instructor and mother of two, also joined this trend to enhance her modest bust. She combined Motiva implants with several tens of cc of AlloClae to increase her breast size from 32A to 32B. Daphne likened the cost of this cosmetic procedure to "a Birkin bag", meaning no less than 35,000 USD, but affirmed it was a worthwhile investment.
Dr. Anna Steve, who performed Daphne's procedure, refers to AlloClae as "multi-utility fat". She explained that this type of fat possesses structural components often lacking in natural fat, which helps maintain a more stable shape. Notably, this technique allows implants to be placed directly above the muscle while still ensuring a natural appearance, in contrast to traditional surgery which requires submuscular placement and up to 6 weeks of recovery.
Recovery time for deceased donor fat injections is very fast, comparable to Botox injections. Most patients can return to normal activities on the same day, excluding strenuous physical activities. After injection, AlloClae functions similarly to natural fat, meaning cosmetic results will change with the patient's weight. Doctors state that this procedure can be performed multiple times if clients wish to increase volume or maintain their desired physique over time.
