This initiative, held in Hue City in recent days, marks a decade of medical cooperation between the hospital and two Korean organizations: Global Care and Injee Club.
Reflecting on the 10-year journey, Associate Professor Doctor Nguyen Khoa Hung, Director of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, stated that medical teams from both countries have successfully performed charitable operations for over 300 cases. These patients are primarily children from disadvantaged backgrounds suffering from craniofacial deformities.
Hospital leadership emphasized that the program does more than just restore smiles for pediatric patients. In the operating room, international experts directly share their experience, diligently guiding and transferring techniques to local doctors. This practical exposure helps medical facilities in Hue enhance their professional capabilities and long-term treatment quality.
Evaluating the program's overall impact, Professor Doctor Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, Rector of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, affirmed that the 10-year cooperation has yielded practical benefits. The partners have effectively addressed goals of high-quality medical personnel training, fostered academic exchange, and sustained charitable surgical activities for the community.
