Opella Vietnam and Pharmacity drugstore chain sign a distribution partnership and co-host a workshop with the Ho Chi Minh City Pharmacy Association to enhance pharmacists' expertise in bone health counseling.

A highlight of the program was the strategic partnership signing ceremony between Pharmacity and Opella, a global brand pioneering Family-centered health and wellness (FMCH) in Vietnam. This partnership aims to expand the range of healthcare products available at Pharmacity. It also demonstrates the commitment of both parties to implementing specialized training programs, enhancing pharmacists' knowledge and consulting skills.

In addition to the signing ceremony, the workshop also provided specialized knowledge from leading experts. People's Doctor, Associate Professor, Doctor Huynh Nguyen Khanh Trang, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine and Head of Obstetrics at Hung Vuong Hospital, presented "The role of the trio of organic calcium, Vitamin D3, K2, and MK7 in calcium supplementation for pregnant and breastfeeding women." The lecture emphasized the significantly higher calcium needs of pregnant and breastfeeding women compared to other groups. It highlighted how the correct combination of micronutrients optimizes calcium absorption and increases bone density.

Following the program, Master, Doctor Tran Thi Kim Chi, Head of the Nutrition Department at Gia Dinh People's Hospital, presented "Micronutrients - From basic needs to solutions for enhancing rapid and comprehensive energy recovery." She clarified the essential role of micronutrients in physical recovery, especially for those engaged in high-intensity labor and patients in post-treatment stages. Scientific analyses supported by clinical data were presented, making the information readily applicable for pharmacists in their consulting practices.

Beyond the professional discussions, the workshop also included group activities and practical exercises to help pharmacists apply their knowledge to real-life situations. Through these activities, the pharmacists also received feedback from experts.

Along with the training provided by the doctors, Opella Vietnam representatives shared two innovative healthcare solutions to aid pharmacists in their consultations. Calcium Corbiere Plus was introduced, featuring a formula designed to enhance calcium absorption, particularly suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women, a group with high calcium needs to maintain bone health during pregnancy and postpartum.

They also introduced Pharmaton Energy Fizzi, a health supplement containing G115 ginseng and 16 vitamins and minerals, which supports overall health and strengthens the body's resistance, helps reduce fatigue, and supplements vitamins and minerals.
