According to the administration, APIMED Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company in Ho Chi Minh City is responsible for the affected batch of Apiroca-B, number 0335001. The product is manufactured by the Apimed Pharmaceutical Factory in Dong Nai province.
Sales and distribution of the product have been suspended since 22/7 due to its failure to meet quality standards. Testing revealed that the vitamin B2 (riboflavin sodium phosphate) content was 86.9 mg per tablet. Experts suggest this discrepancy could impact the product's effectiveness.
The Food Safety Administration has given the manufacturer and APIMED seven days to address and rectify the issue. The product can only return to the market once the required corrective actions have been taken.
