The program supports the implementation of Resolution 72 of the Politburo, which advocates for a shift from a treatment-focused mindset to one of prevention. It seeks to enhance comprehensive healthcare and drive digital transformation in the medical sector, making health monitoring technology solutions more accessible to people in their daily lives.
Le Xuan Truong, Director of Marketing and Communications for the Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics Vietnam, stated that Samsung aims to utilize its strengths in technology and innovation to raise awareness about proactive healthcare. Citizens are encouraged to monitor and improve their health daily using wearable devices like the Galaxy Watch8 series and the Samsung Health application. This fosters and maintains a healthy lifestyle, promoting proactive disease prevention.

The program will feature several activities throughout 2026. It began with the Galaxy Run, a community race in Ho Chi Minh City, which attracted over 5,000 participants. This event encouraged the formation of exercise habits and health monitoring using technological devices.
In July and August, the two parties plan to organize a series of workshops on proactive healthcare within the context of digital transformation. This includes a workshop for around 300 health communication and education officials from the CDC of 34 provinces and cities, focusing on digital communication trends and the use of smart devices in health management.
Additionally, workshops for students in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, themed "Smart Health Monitoring – Start Today," will introduce technology solutions for health monitoring. These events will incorporate experiential activities to spread healthy living messages among young people.
Through this program, the Ministry of Health and Samsung Vietnam expect to enhance community awareness, promote healthy lifestyles, and leverage the role of digital technology in proactive healthcare.
