The two facilities, Times City and Central Park, are currently partners in the global hospital network of Cleveland Clinic (US). Vinmec particularly focuses on applying the Joint Commission International (JCI) standard framework and implementing patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). This method helps medical staff continuously improve quality based on real-world data and direct customer feedback.
In terms of specialization, Vinmec Times City demonstrates its capabilities through key areas such as orthopedic trauma using 3D technology and robotics, organ transplantation, and cell therapy. Meanwhile, Vinmec Central Park stands out with its strengths in cardiology, neurology, and a palliative care model for cancer patients. As of April, the system has successfully performed over 120 liver transplants, one of the most complex surgical techniques today.
Professor, Doctor Tran Trung Dung, General Director of Vinmec Healthcare System, stated that this achievement is the result of 14 years of persistent pursuit of international standards. The unit continuously updates modern techniques such as the AutoGuide navigation robot for epilepsy treatment and CAR-T cell therapy for blood cancer. As a result, people have the opportunity to access high-tech treatment domestically, without needing to travel abroad. Newly established hospitals like Vinmec Can Tho, Smart City, and Ocean Park 2 are also operating under this strict set of standards to participate in the next evaluation cycle.

Leaders from the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Vinmec, and Statista Healthcare discuss the direction for Vietnam's participation in global hospital rankings at the Ministry of Health headquarters. Photo: Vingroup
Matthias Hirsch, Vice President of Statista Healthcare, praised Vinmec's uniformity. He noted that the well-structured governance and standardized processes help the system maintain consistent quality across multiple facilities, rather than excelling in just a few isolated areas. "This reflects the enterprise's strong commitment to data-driven quality management and transparency", Matthias Hirsch stated.
Doctor Ha Anh Duc, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management (Ministry of Health), observed that accessing international rankings is essential to elevate Vietnam's medical standing. According to him, Vinmec's proactive integration of global standards not only enhances competitiveness but also boosts medical tourism potential, making Vietnam more prominent on the world medical map.
The Global Hospital Rating is a prestigious ranking conducted by Newsweek magazine (US) in collaboration with its partner Statista (Germany). The expert council evaluates based on stringent criteria such as the scope of clinical services, timeliness, customer experience, and the level of information technology application.
