The incident occurred on the afternoon of 24/9, resulting in the deaths of the man's two daughters at the scene. The suspect, the family's son-in-law, has been arrested by police for investigation. The suspect and his wife – one of the two deceased victims – had been married for several years and recently had arguments related to their relationship.

On 25/9, Xuyen A General Hospital admitted two severely injured victims following the incident at a rental complex on Ho Van Tang street, Cu Chi commune, TP HCM. The 61-year-old man, identified as the suspect's father-in-law, and his 18-year-old grandson were hospitalized with penetrating chest wounds that caused hemothorax. The young man also sustained a severe penetrating wound to his right chest, along with multiple injuries to his face and head.

Emergency medical teams swiftly moved both patients to the operating room. There, doctors performed thoracotomies, assessed the damage, and controlled the bleeding. Following surgery, both patients were out of critical condition and transferred to the Cardiovascular - Thoracic Surgery Department for continued monitoring.

Currently, the grandfather is conscious and in stable health, with his wounds under control, though he remains psychologically affected by the incident. The grandson also has stable vital signs and continues to be closely monitored.
