The Viet-Nga International Eye Hospital System is enhancing its application of modern presbyopia treatment technologies. On 18/6, the hospital received a certificate from Carl Zeiss, acknowledging its pioneering role in implementing Zeiss Presbyond technology in Vietnam, and recognizing it as the unit with the highest number of Zeiss Presbyond technology treatment cases nationwide. This advanced solution treats presbyopia for individuals aged 40 and above, whether it is presbyopia alone or combined with refractive errors like myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. While this technology has been implemented in a few other eye hospitals and clinics, Viet-Nga leads in its application.
Unlike traditional vision correction methods optimized for a single viewing distance, Zeiss Presbyond applies the principle of laser blended vision. This technology expands the clear vision zone across multiple distances: far, intermediate, and near. Consequently, patients can perform daily activities such as driving, using a phone, reading, or working on a computer more conveniently, eliminating the need to constantly switch between different types of glasses.
Beyond its visual efficacy, this technology is also highly valued for its ability to personalize treatment based on each patient's visual characteristics and eye usage needs. Many middle-aged clients are interested in Zeiss Presbyond, seeking to maintain an active quality of life without relying on glasses.

Ms. Vu Thi Thu Hien, General Director of Carl Zeiss Vietnam, stated that Presbyond is one of the presbyopia treatment platforms developed to meet the multi-distance visual needs of middle-aged individuals. She added that the Viet-Nga International Eye Hospital's record in performing the highest number of Zeiss Presbyond technology treatment cases in Vietnam demonstrates its comprehensive investment in technology, professional procedures, and capacity to access modern ophthalmic treatment solutions.
According to Doctor Vitalii Bazhanov, Deputy Medical Director of Viet-Nga International Eye Hospital, the implementation of Presbyond technology brings positive changes to patients' lives.
"Many individuals who previously had to use different types of glasses for various activities such as reading, working on a computer, or driving can now perform daily tasks more conveniently after treatment", Doctor Bazhanov stated. "This is also the hospital's goal when integrating modern presbyopia treatment technologies into clinical practice."
The hospital also aims to develop vision care for middle-aged and elderly individuals by updating new treatment technologies, expanding its range of specialized services, and enhancing the professional capabilities of its medical team.
Currently, the Viet-Nga International Eye Hospital System has facilities in TP HCM, Ha Noi, Hai Phong, and Quang Ninh, implementing various treatment solutions with the participation of experts from Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
