Initial findings from the investigating agency indicate the incident originated from a personal conflict between Thang and another teenager. Both parties then gathered additional individuals, prepared weapons, and convened to settle their dispute violently.
On 12/1, in the early hours, both groups armed themselves with machetes, cleavers, and spears, riding motorcycles through various streets. Upon arriving at the foot of Kenh Xang Bridge, they launched into a violent confrontation, chasing and slashing each other across the bridge and along the nearby Duong Ba Trac street.
