Pham Hoai Thanh, 30, along with Nguyen Quang Trung and Pham Hoai Vu (aged 27 and 34) were arrested by Lam Dong provincial police on August 8th for disturbing the peace.

The incident began on the evening of 25/7, when Thanh, Trung, and two friends visited the Ruby karaoke bar in Me Pu 5 village, Nam Thanh commune (formerly Duc Linh district, Binh Thuan province). An argument broke out with a waitress. The bar owner, hearing the commotion, intervened with others and was subsequently assaulted by Thanh's group.

After leaving, Thanh's group contacted Vu and recounted the events. The three suspects then returned to the karaoke bar armed with weapons and attacked several people, causing chaos in the area. The bar owner and 4 others sustained serious injuries requiring immediate medical attention, while 2 others suffered minor injuries.

Police also confirmed that Trung vandalized property within the bar.
