On the morning of 15/8, relatives arriving at the elderly woman's home in Tan Uyen ward discovered her deceased on a folding chair in the living room.

Initially, they believed she had died of natural causes due to her advanced age. However, upon reviewing security camera footage, they discovered that around 7:30 PM the previous evening, while the woman was watching television, a man wearing a hat, jacket, and shorts entered the house and strangled her. After committing the crime, the perpetrator fled the scene.

According to the victim's family, there were no signs of a robbery or that the house had been ransacked.

Ho Chi Minh City Police are currently investigating the murder.
