Frank Stronach, 93, was found guilty of two charges by an Ontario court on 19/6. He had faced 12 sexual offense complaints from seven women, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The first incident occurred in 1980, involving a woman who visited Stronach's Toronto apartment after a shared dinner. The second case, in the late 1970s, involved a woman who accused him of touching her inappropriately at his apartment. Stronach did not respond to questioning, delegating his lawyer.
He had previously denied all accusations against him, claiming his accusers were "after money". While convicted on two counts, one of his lawyers expressed satisfaction that their client was acquitted of other serious charges, including rape and multiple other sexual assault counts.

He awaits sentencing and will face another sexual assault trial with a different victim next year. Police arrested and charged the billionaire in 2024 with criminal offenses, including sexual assault and rape, related to alleged crimes from the 1970s to 2024.
Stronach, an Austrian native, founded the Canadian oto parts company Magna International in 1957. He built it into a major empire, becoming one of Canada's wealthiest individuals.
He also established the Stronach Group, a company specializing in horse racing. Stronach resigned as Magna chairman in 2011 and founded his own political party in his native Austria the following year. His daughter, Belinda Stronach, served as Canada's Minister of Labor and Minister of Democratic Reform before assuming leadership roles within her father's businesses.
