A 54-year-old man set fire to his 41-year-old lover's home and business in Canh An village, Tuy Phuoc Tay commune, Gia Lai, following a romantic dispute. The incident occurred after 5 a.m. on 26/8, according to Tuy Phuoc Tay communal police. Nguyen Thanh Binh then embraced the woman in the raging fire.

Local residents discovered the incident and rushed in, rescuing both individuals. They subsequently took both to Gia Lai Central General Hospital with severe burns.

The fire completely destroyed the woman's home, business, and property, with damages estimated at 300 million VND. Authorities are currently examining the scene and investigating the cause of the arson.

Local residents stated that Binh had a romantic relationship with the woman after his wife passed away.
