On 26/7/2025, An Giang Provincial Police issued a warrant for the arrest of 39-year-old Hue for investigation of “abuse of trust to appropriate property” from a bank employee.

In October 2023, Hue asked an acquaintance, a bank employee in Phu Quoc, to assist her with a loan application and bank card. While awaiting loan approval, Hue asked to borrow 600 million VND, promising to repay the loan upon disbursement. After receiving the money, Hue made three payments totaling 107 million VND to the bank before vanishing.
Unable to contact Hue, the bank employee reported the incident to the police. By the end of December 2024, Kien Giang Provincial Police (now An Giang) initiated a case but could not locate Hue.
