Beauty queen Thuy Tien, Quang Linh Vlogs, and Hang Du Muc face prosecution

Quang Linh Vlogs, Hang Du Muc, and Thuy Tien are facing prosecution for allegedly deceiving customers in the production and sale of counterfeit Kera candy.

On 4/9, the Ministry of Public Security announced that the investigative police agency concluded its investigation and recommended prosecuting five individuals from Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company (CER) for defrauding customers.

The accused are Le Tuan Linh, Director and legal representative; Nguyen Thi Thai Hang, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors; Le Thanh Cong and Pham Quang Linh, both members of the Board of Directors; and Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien (Miss Grand International 2021).

The C01 Department of the Ministry of Public Security notified the victims and relevant parties to protect their legal rights and interests as prescribed by law.

In December 2024, Thuy Tien announced a partnership with Quang Linh Vlogs and Hang Du Muc to launch a vegetable candy brand. On her personal page with over 2.6 million followers, Thuy Tien announced the launch of her "passion project," posting promotions and appearing on livestreams to sell the product.

According to initial police information, Thuy Tien was one of the founding shareholders of CER, which produced Kera Super Greens Gummies. She contributed 30% of the capital and received profits according to this ratio.

By the time the violation was discovered, CER had sold over 135,000 boxes of Kera candy to over 30,000 customers, earning nearly 18 billion VND. Based on her capital contribution and commission, Thuy Tien received nearly 7 billion VND.

The combined promotional efforts of Thuy Tien, Hang Du Muc, and Quang Linh Vlogs led many to believe that the product "could replace vegetables in meals." Thuy Tien claimed the product was convenient, nutritious, certified for quality, and suitable for both children and adults.

When a consumer reported that the candy's ingredients did not match the advertisement, and the audience demanded she take responsibility for the posted content, Thuy Tien deleted the product-related posts.
