Earlier, on the morning of 1/4, police received a report from staff at the Bach Hoa Xanh store in hamlet 9, Tan Vinh Loc commune, stating a theft had occurred. Upon arriving at work, they discovered the rolling door had been forced open, items inside were ransacked, and 32,6 million VND was missing.

Reviewing security camera footage, police noted that around 3 a.m., the thief broke the rolling door lock, snuck inside, pried open the safe to take assets, and then fled.

After a two-day manhunt, police apprehended the suspect.
