Around 10 PM on 8/2, after drinking at home, the three brothers, Tay, Nhat, and Binh, went to the ASTA bar on Hung Vuong Street. They were seated at VIP table 8.
Tay asked a staff member about buying drugs and was introduced to a security guard named "Tung." Tay ordered a "candy" pill and a tray of powdered drugs for 1.5 million VND.
A young man delivered the drugs wrapped in a 5,000 VND bill. Tay borrowed Binh’s phone to make the payment because his phone battery was dead.
The three brothers shared the drugs at their table. Tay used the pill first, then shared it with Nhat and Binh. They left the powdered drugs on the table.
Police raided the ASTA bar and caught several groups using illegal drugs, including the three brothers.
In court, Tay tearfully confessed to dropping out of school at a young age. He expressed remorse for leading his brothers into drug use and legal trouble. He pleaded for a reduced sentence so they could return to their family.
