The Ho Chi Minh City Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division took action two days after a video of Ninh driving the container truck went viral on social media. The driver was seen operating the vehicle at high speed, weaving across all three lanes near Binh Trung ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The container truck obstructed at least four other vehicles traveling in the same direction.

"Driving at high speed and weaving recklessly on the expressway poses a serious risk of accidents, endangers other drivers, and severely impacts public safety," the investigative agency stated.

The ward police coordinated with the Traffic Police Department, the Criminal Investigation Division, and the Traffic Operation Center to identify Ninh as the driver.

During the investigation, Ninh admitted to intentionally performing these actions to force the company to fire him due to his dissatisfaction with company policies. Specifically, Ninh explained his reckless driving was to "get attention" and "end his contract."
