Lam Dong Provincial Police initiated a criminal case for negligent homicide on 10/4 following a workplace accident on the Tazon mountain slope in Ham Thuan commune, which resulted in three fatalities.
Authorities determined the accident occurred because driver Truong Tuan Truong failed to implement safety measures when parking the vehicle on the Ta Zon mountain slope.
According to initial investigation results, on the morning of 8/4, Truong Tuan Truong, 27, residing in Nghe An, drove a Hanoi-registered truck carrying telecommunications construction materials to the Tazon mountain area for Global Construction Co., Ltd.
Truong parked the vehicle on the Tazon mountain slope. He and workers at the construction site then unloaded goods at the designated collection point. Around 8:40 h, after unloading, Truong was in the truck's cabin, and three workers remained on the truck bed when the vehicle unexpectedly moved forward, sped down the slope, and crashed into the premises of Ta Zon Joint Stock Company at the foot of the mountain.

Consequently, two people on the truck died at the scene, and one person died on the way to the emergency room. Driver Truong was injured.
