Debt collection turns deadly

Lo Van Minh, 46, has been detained after allegedly stabbing a man to death and injuring his wife during a debt dispute.

On 23/6, Minh was detained by Lam Dong police for investigation of murder.

Around 1 a.m. that day, Minh went to the home of Nguyen Van Tung, 47, in Lien Nghia town, Duc Trong district, to collect a debt. An argument broke out between Minh and the couple.

Minh then allegedly drew a weapon and attacked Tung, who died at the scene. Tung’s wife was seriously injured and is receiving intensive care at a hospital.

The suspect later turned himself in to the police.
