On 30/7, the People's Procuracy of Region 1, Quang Tri Province, announced the indictment and detention of 30-year-old Hung, 28-year-old Nguyen Van Chung, and 31-year-old Doan Van Quan on charges of intentional injury.

The incident stemmed from an unpaid debt Hung owed to Nguyen Van Hung, a staff member at a dental clinic in Hoan Lao Commune.

On the afternoon of 19/3, after being pressed for repayment, Hung, accompanied by Quan and Chung (who carried a knife), went to the clinic to confront Nguyen Van Hung. Finding him examining a young patient, the trio barged into the room, shouting and restraining him. They proceeded to punch Nguyen Van Hung repeatedly in the face.

Although Nguyen Van Hung attempted to escape, the three pursued him outside. Chung used the knife to inflict multiple wounds, resulting in a 13% injury assessment for the victim.
